FAQ

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our FLSK Future Fund.
We want to make the application process as simple and transparent as possible.

Basics & funding areas

1. What is the FLSK Future Fund?

Since 2017, we have invested 1% of our annual turnover in the FLSK Future Fund. This allows us to support people and organizations whose projects make a positive contribution to the environment and society.

2. Who can receive funding?

Anyone with a good idea! We support non-profit projects that support children and education , the environment and climate protection , or social participation and community . These include, for example, clubs, social initiatives, school classes, kindergartens, and leisure projects.

3. What is not supported?

We do not support purely commercial projects, party political campaigns, or projects that do not have a clear connection to our three funding priorities.

4. What types of funding are there and what distinguishes “movement” from “impact”?

The FLSK Future Fund is the umbrella organization for our funding activities. There are two ways to support it:

  • Impact: Here, we offer quick and easy support with in-kind donations or small amounts of up to €300. Ideal for short-term projects with a direct impact.
  • Movement: Here we build long-term, strategic partnerships and provide more intensive support to organizations.

You don't have to choose one option when applying – we will check internally which funding option best suits your project.

The application process

5. Where and how do I submit an application?

You can easily submit your application online using our application form . There, we'll guide you step by step through all the necessary information.

6. What information should my application contain?

Describe your project as specifically as possible: What is the goal? Who is the target group? What exactly are you planning, and what contribution will it make to one of our three focus areas? A rough timeline and cost estimate, if you're requesting a donation, is also very helpful.

7. How quickly will I receive a response?

We will usually contact you within 14 days of receiving your application.

8. How are funding decisions made?

We evaluate each application fairly and transparently. The following criteria are crucial for us:

  • Fit: How well does the project fit with our priorities?
  • Impact: What positive and lasting impact is expected?
  • Feasibility: Is the plan realistic and feasible?
  • Resources: Are there currently sufficient resources available in the fund?

Support details

9. What kind of donations can I receive?

The in-kind donations primarily consist of our own products (e.g., FLSK drinking bottles, muki snack pots). These are perfect for reducing waste and providing project participants with sustainable equipment—for example, at sporting events, environmental working groups, or as prizes at a charity run.

10. Can the donated products be resold?

No. Donations in kind are intended as direct support for your project and are intended to directly benefit the participants.

11. How do I show you what the project has become?

Completely informal and uncomplicated! After the project is completed, we'd love to receive a few photos and a short report from you. This way, we can share your success with others.

Miscellaneous

12. Where can I see projects that have already been funded?

You can find a selection of our funded projects in our magazine. Let the diverse ideas inspire you!

13. What role does the GLS Future Foundation play?

The GLS Zukunftsstiftung is our experienced partner. It manages the fund in trust and supports us with its expertise in selecting and supporting our long-term "Movement" partnerships.

14. Can I apply again if I have already received funding?

Yes, of course! If you're planning a new project, you can apply again. We look forward to hearing about your progress and new ideas.

15. Who can I contact if I have further questions?
